Dear Ha'aretz: As an American who ardently desires to see a just and lasting peace in the Middle East, as well as an end to all violence, I am appalled by Israeli government attacks against Israeli peace groups. I am likewise appalled that your newspaper, upon which I rely for news and commentary from Israel, has joined in these attacks. Far from being " injudicious and wrong " , the actions of Gush Shalom -- as well as ICAHD, the Women's Coalition, Yesh Gvul and numerous other Israeli peace groups -- give people of conscience worldwide hope for a better future for both Israelis and Palestinians.
