The headlines proclaim:
"2007 was a good year" -
A year of improved security,
Economic prosperity,
And generally.
The people of Sderot
Did not suffer
From the rockets.
The elderly
Did not seek for food
In the trashcans.
The millions of Palestinians
Did not suffer under the occupation.
The million and a half inhabitants
Of the Gaza strip
Were not starved by the siege.
What a wonderful year!
