The IDF conducted
"A routine operation"
In the city of Jenin
On the West Bank.
The soldiers' invasion
Encountered resistance
By the people of the city.
The IDF Spokesman said:
"Hundreds of Palestinians were
Shooting, throwing stones and
Hurling explosive devices.
The soldiers responded with
Anti-riot gear."
Dalia Samudi did not take part
In all this. She just tried
To close the windows
And prevent the clouds of tear gas
Harming her small children.
But she was hit by a bullet
And killed within her home.
Few Israelis heard about
The death of Dalia Samudi.
This news got hardly any media attention.
