Enough with the war: Demonstrations in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa 16:00 | Habima Square Tel Aviv 19:00 | Corner of Allenby/Hafarsim Streets, Haifa 19:30 | Paris Square, Jerusalem Two weeks have passed since Israel and the US launched a war on Iran. Thousands of deaths in Iran, hundreds of deaths in Lebanon, dozens of deaths and injuries in Israel, long nights filled with alarms, murderous violence by settlers and the army in the West Bank, and incessant bombings in Gaza. For the right-wing government, this state of perpetual war is a blessing - we refuse to remain silent! We must stop the war in Iran and Lebanon, get out of Lebanon, and put an end to the imperialist aggression that talks about security and freedom while it sets the entire Middle East ablaze. Join us on Saturday at 4:00 PM, at Habima Square for a demonstration against the war and against the government that is using it to deepen the destruction and ethnic cleansing in Gaza and the West Bank. Emergency Conference: Stop the government of destruction! In times of war, we are expected to remain silent, align ourselves, and automatically support the Netanyahu government. But there is a large public that wants a different path: stability, security, and peace agreements. An emergency meeting was held yesterday at Radical House in Tel Aviv, against the war in Iran. Rola Daoud and Alon-Lee Green: "This government must not be backed, must not be supported, and must not be trusted. Neither the government nor its war in Iran and Lebanon." "It's worrying to see that most of the opposition thinks differently. And if there is almost no opposition in the Knesset - then we will be the opposition to the eternal war." https://x.com/i/status/2032155460522979357 https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1ArtRDQTjY/ In wartime, we are automatically expected to be silent, disciplined, and support the Netanyahu government. But there is a wide audience that wants another way: stability, security, and peace treaties. Today we meet in an emergency conference: we will not support the government of ruin! 📆 Thursday | 19:00 📍Radical House Herzl Street, corner of Hathiya Street, Tel Aviv To register: https://omdi.me/4rqftZY War has become routine - and the opposition is silent Netanyahu and the government have once again arranged for you and me to have an eternal war without an exit plan, and they expect us to suffer in silence! We must resist and demand that the opposition raise its head against the eternal war - join us! An Exit Plan from the Eternal War – Now! Opposition leaders – stop falling in line with the Netanyahu government! Present an alternative to "Super Sparta" now: Get us out of the shelters and promote diplomatic agreements that will end these eternal cycles of war. Why is this important? Netanyahu’s office is openly discussing the timing of the war to suit the elections—and the opposition remains silent. The Army Chief of Staff addresses the public saying it will take "as long as it takes" while we run to shelters seven times a day—and the opposition remains silent. Trump demands that Herzog pardon Netanyahu—and the opposition continues to support the eternal war to which Netanyahu has sentenced us. This war is a war of political choice that will not bring us security, will not liberate the Iranian people, and will only serve the continued rule of the extreme right. But the opposition is not fulfilling its role: in every round, in every war, the opposition leaders align themselves with the government, thereby blocking any public debate on an alternative policy. Since October 7th, we have been in a state of constant war. One round follows another: Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and now Iran again—which has turned into a regional war where black rain of oil falls on millions of residents in Tehran—while we in Israel are searching for shelter once more. Every round of war is accompanied by promises that it is the last, that victory and security will follow—and after every war, preparations for the next one begin immediately. We are expected to maintain a routine under missiles—because war is the new routine. "War is Peace," and we are condemned to eternal war. But war is not peace. The opposition must stop voluntarily surrendering to Netanyahu’s "1984" doctrine. Only an agreement with the Palestinians, which is the key to a regional settlement, will grant the citizens of Israel security. We demand of the opposition: Dare to oppose! Get us out of the air raid shelters—present an exit plan from Netanyahu’s eternal war! We will make sure to deliver the public's voice to the opposition leaders. https://act.zazim.org.il/petitions/90569d22e08204c07b5b91e124990418ba9bb0a2?source=whatsapp& While we run to shelters - settler violence in the West Bank is getting worse! https://cli.re/FightSettlersViolence In the past week, for of the six Palestinians killed were shot in the head, another person was shot in the neck. Since the beginning of the war, at least six Palestinians have been killed by settlers in the West Bank: 8.3 - Three Palestinians were killed in Khirbet Abu Faleh during a clash with settlers. 7.3 - A reserve soldier shot and killed Amir Muhammad Shanran in Masafar Yatta; his brother was seriously injured. 2.3 - Two Palestinians were killed by a soldier from the IDF in the village of Qaryot, while settlers were entering the olive groves. This reality is happening while the army is everywhere in the West Bank – But time after time, the attacks are unavoidable. While we are in the shelter of the government of destruction and the messianic ministers, they do not stop for a moment in their real war - against anyone who desires a quiet life. Sat. night: anti-war demonstration in Tel Aviv Coming to Habima Square in central Tel Aviv to protest the war on Iran and Lebanon, and against the government of blood that continues to kill people throughout the region! Stop the War: Demonstration on Saturday night, March 7th | 18:00 | Habima Square, Tel Aviv The government has dragged us into yet another war of choice against Iran. Only eight months ago, after the previous war, they told us that security for generations had been achieved; now Netanyahu and Trump are attacking again—in Iran and Lebanon—and this is only the beginning. American imperialism, through Israel, is tightening its murderous grip across the entire Middle East: in Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. We must resist! On Saturday, Match 7, at 18:00, at Habima Square, we will join the demonstration against the war with Iran and Lebanon and against the government that continues to kill people throughout the region. As per the Home Front Command instructions, The demonstration will take place near a large, accessible bomb shelter. It should be noted that two days ago, when twenty brave people tried to hold a protest the war at Habima Square, they were immediately dispersed by police under the pretext of "violating Home Front Command instructions," and some detainees were even subjected to strip searches. However, now the Home Front Command instructions have been relaxed, and the police —controlled by the extreme right fascist Ben Gvir —were forced to approve the demonstration. It is worth mentioning that in Israel, most of the "Opposition" has lined up in unequivocal support of the war. In the U.S., the situation is different. The Democratic Party has come out unequivocally against the war. In the U.S. Senate vote, war supporters won by only a slim majority of 53:47. American society and its political system are split and divided regarding the war, and this is an important and encouraging sign for war opponents here as well! A message from the Zazim community: Our team and the entire Zazim community share in the grief of the families of those killed in the war and pray for the recovery of the wounded and the restoration of destroyed homes. We know of many activists who have lost their homes in recent days and ache with each and every one of you. Our office was also destroyed by a missile strike last Friday night. None of us were hurt, and we continue to organize from our homes, hoping for a swift end to the war. It is easy to start wars, but we must ask what their purpose is. Every war is accompanied by promises of being the "last one," followed by absolute victory and peace—yet after every one, preparations for the next war begin immediately. This time, too, there is great doubt whether this war will bring us the security we want, or the freedom from oppression and murder that the Iranian people long for and deserve. In recent years, we have also learned that against the backdrop of military operations, anti-democratic initiatives flourish, "coup" laws are passed, and the harm to Palestinian residents and land seizures intensify. This is another price we will pay for this war. This time, no effort was even made to hide the political interests behind going to war. It is not about liberating the Iranian people, but about moving up the elections here, fortifying the rule of Netanyahu and Ben Gvir, and continuing to blur the responsibility for October 7th and everything that happened afterward. Therefore, we are not part of the sense of euphoria in the government (and unfortunately, in large parts of the opposition), but are rather deeply concerned. For a long time, wars and military operations have become Israel's only diplomatic tool, and our existence has only become more precarious and dangerous. Despite all the investment in military technology, and despite the new reality of constant confrontation, the home front remains neglected, and the weakest—Arabs, the Ultra-Orthodox, and disadvantaged citizens living in old apartments—remain without protection. Our security is not the goal of this war or this government. We deserve more — a policy that puts citizens at the center. Only diplomatic agreements will bring Israel security. Only democracy will bring prosperity and stability. The reality of recent years is not a decree of fate, but the result of the cynical and reckless policy of an extreme and messianic government. We demand a new path and expect the opposition to present a real alternative to the cycle of violence and war. |
