The so called "Loyalty Law", the brainchild of the racist provocateur Avigdor Lieberman, was designed to deprive millions of Israelis of their citizenship and turn Israel into an outspoken racist state and society.

The widespread anger, alarm and indignation roused by this and other racist provocative bills left the government no choice but to take a sane step.

Thus, Lieberman's bombshell, which could have opened an unbridgeable chasm between the State of Israel and its Arab citizens – and also between it and very many Jewish citizens - in the end turned out to be a mere stink bomb.
